So,I just went back and checked out some of my old BSG posts, and I realized that I hadn't written any kind of review/opinion on 'Revelations'...
But I never explained why I didn't.I will now!
The thing is,a couple of days before the episode aired,a fellow student from my University(who also happens to be the only crazy-like-me BSG fan I know) came up to me all excited and revealed some pretty big spoilers about the episode.Basically,he said something along the lines of "They find earth and it is an abandoned, ugly place with ruins!!".
Meh.Of course, the moron ruined half the excitement for me...I mean, the episode was great, and it probably is the best, most complete one of Season 4(I even wrote that opinion somewhere,I think). And the writing was as good as ever, and the acting was probably the best the cast did all season(apart from Mary and Hogan, who have been consistently stellar for a while). But it still didn't have the impact on me that it would if I didn't know that stuff.
I think, the finale of S4 is,in a way, like that of S2.I remember, upon rewatch,i didn't go all crazy about 'Lay Down Your Burdens' like I did the first time around('cause I never saw that coming):OMG!!WTF!!Fast-forward!OMG!!Who's the fat guy? That was the original first impression that never showed up again.I think I missed that kind of thing when I watched 'Revelations'...
Which is also probably the reason I love 'Crossroads II' so much.No matter how many times I watch it,no matter if I know very well what happens, who is a Cylon, who comes back from the dead(yay!!),what's the end of Baltar's trial etc,I still feel completely hooked and all excited about it *sigh*.
Here's to the hope that no one spoils me this year!

I'd stupidly read spoilers for Crossroads II and my joy was muted because I already knew who were the Cylons and about Kara. This year I'm desperately trying to stay spoiler free. I'm even giving up the ads and promos.
One thing we need to careful of is the random idiots who make puppet usernames to spoil big events and spam entire communities. Some idiot went around with the user name
I think all BSG season finales needed to be unspoiled:Adama getting shot,fast-forward,the Four,Kara's return...
Though, watching them back now that I know what happens,I find Crossroads(and CLG probably) much more enjoyable and atmospheric than LDYB and Revelations.Especially LDYB,which was kind of 'meh' once you knew the shocking 'future' thing.
**crossed fingers that we'll both stay unspoiled this year**
