Some random silly stuff.By me.

hobbits
-Let's start with the serious stuff:Bernie Mac died today, because of complications from pneumonia. He was a gifted comedian figure, and only 50 years-old.I was quite shocked to read about his death.Very, very sad news...
May he rest in peace.

-Yesterday,I visited a friend in my neighborhood for a little coffee break.I did it because I had missed her,not because it was a very hot day and she has air-conditioning and I don't .Did I just write that?Anyway.I'm trying to stay BSG-light the last days(Katee's latest inty is still a traumatic memory I'm trying to push behind),but I get no help from nowhere.Bad luck, you know?'Cause I'm at my friend's,enjoying the cool temperature and the tv is on:a local channel that was,at the time, showing "Charmed".Now,I have watched that occassionally, but was never a big fan of the show so I wasn't really paying attention to the tv.Then this guy shows up:

Yes,it's who you think it is.
Not bad-looking,for sure, but not quite as attractive as he is now,was he?And this show must be like...10 years ago.
*sigh* Sometimes I hate men.How they get so much more handsome with age is beyond me!
At the same time, women just get wrinkles as they grow old.So un-fair.

-Also,I found this floating all over the net.I never like Paris Hilton(and I still don't),but I found this to be rather funny(You asked for it,white-haired dude John!).

-The Olympic games officially started yesterday and God,was the opening ceremony impressive or what?I really liked the ideas in it,the way the Chinese emphasized on their culture and history of centuries while showing off(in a good way) the huge dimensions of their country.
I wish we could have skipped that though, because the Olympics idea is all about the celebration and the high purposes and nobility and peace...and tragic incidents like that ruin the feeling of it.I also wish tere wasn't so much ugliness surrounding the Thibet case, but unfortunately,I'm pretty sure there will be no chance for the better in this situation any time soon...
Back to the Games,I have not many high hopes for my country(if there's still anybody left who has not been found positive in doping control *sigh*) but I hope to see many great athletes from all over the world impress with their performances and records!

Well, this was my useless contribution for the day!I'm now off to watch La Femme Nikita,my favorite show of old times...Catch you all later!!

R.I.P Comedy King!
Random for sure, didn't expect him to die like that. Many random deaths have happened in the past year or so including Heath Ledger and Anna Nichole Smith. Just goes to show that tomorrow is not a promise so do what you where put on this earth for today, as tomorrow may never come!

I was shocked to turn on the computer this morning to the headlines of Bernie Mac passing away. It's hard to believe I will never see another new movie with him in it...

If you want to view my post.

Re: R.I.P Comedy King!
Yeah, the worst thing is that I didn't see that coming...I mean,it was a big shock. While Anne-Nicole Smith, for example, had mishandled so much stuff in her life that I could feel something was going to end badly.
But Bernie was the kind of guy that I expected to be seeing for a long time...It's just so sad.

Thanks for the link,I will go read your post.

MIcheal Trucco definitely looks better now.

*sighs* It totally sucks that guys look better as they age and most women look worse.

Never saw the opening ceremony (boo hiss work) but the pictures looks stunning.

LOL. Useless is good. It amuses me. :D

And Nikita, and the twisted leadership duo,and cute buddies Walter and Birkhoff.

I totally ended up watching a few choice season one episodes last night. :D

And yes, Michael > everyone. Guh. I love him with his whispery low voice, beautiful eyes and total badassery. Man, I miss that show.

I think it's about time I made some more LFN icons. :)

Yeah,yeah...Voice and eyes and badassery...and tight mission pants.
God,I loved their clothes!I think Michael used to wear Gaultier or something.

Let's make LFN icons, yes!Come on,we will revive the show together!I'll even make icons myself(although I'm not sure I know how to do anything but crop!!).

Trucco definitely keeps improving with age. He's a little too generic pretty boy when young. But the age he is now (38, I believe) is completely scrumptious!

He's 38 already??Wow,I would have never guessed.I thought he was about Tahmoh'age...
Time is definitely Michael's friend,I have to say!

It seems lately that men look their best in their late 30s,while women look the best in their late 20s or something...
Bummer,if you're a woman.

I know! Jamie Bamber got more attractive too. :| possibly it's just the hair, but still. neither of them look like they've aged 10 years.

Men,I tell you...Lucky people!

Now that you mention it,I had never seen JB in anything before BSG,but I caught some "Hornblower" movie on local tv,about a month ago.Ah,baby-Bambie was just the cutest thing...

Of course, now he's less cute and more hot.Which is fine by me! lol

Nobody lives the way he'd want to live...because the DREAM is just one tiny moment.
And all the other moments...DESPAIR.
