So,I just went back and checked out some of my old BSG posts, and I realized that I hadn't written any kind of review/opinion on 'Revelations'...
But I never explained why I didn't.I will now!

Happy New Year!

Best wishes to everyone!!
Yeah,it is me.The user formerly known as '3gomez'.Well,I'm still gomez, but I doubt anyone remembers. lol

I hope the new year that just began will bring health and happiness to every one of you,lj-pals!
2008 wasn't such a great year for me personally,so I just hope that 2009 will be better.
University has been 'meh' and that was the reason why I slowed down my livejournal activities at first.I tried to concentrate more on my studies.Things got a little better lately, but I still try not to get all focused on the internetz('cause I'm an addict, truly).
Originally,I did not intend to be MIA for so long, but then there came another issue,a family one, which kept me worried till late November. It still is a little painful,so I'd rather not talk any details of it.

Really, really special wishes(and kisses) to the fantastic,brilliant,amazing,super-nice,super-crazy [info]stiletto_freek for thinking about me,and to my beloved [info]beetlemier ,who had some tough times...I tried to e-mail you, honey, but I have no idea if you received the messages because I didn't get any responses.Letto informed me about your situations though,so I'm good!

LOL Pretty long first message,no?
Getting back here was in my list of goals for the new season(along with many other things such as 'eat less' and 'talk less').So,I welcome myself back in lj!
Running now,to catch up_well,as much as I can!

By the way,I'm still obsessed with BSG. despite not knowing when the season starts
quote
I am slightly worried and majorly pissed.
My uncle is in the hospital.
About a week ago he complained about intense pain in his left leg...My aunt and him went to two different doctors who had no idea what the case was and told him that  it was just a little muscle pain that needed rest and would be fine.By yesterday,my uncle's leg had gotten so swollen that he could barely move. *sigh* Doctors are such useless money-grabbers sometimes...
So,we took him to the hospital where a decent(finally!) doc found out what the problem really was.He is still in the hospital, receiving treatment, but he should get out some time tommorow. It was no minor thing, what he suffered from_although I can't really  do the greek-to-english translation for his situation. From what the doctor said,he's going to have to continue the treatment at home, for a couple of leg-resting,non-walking weeks.
What is with my family and leg trouble lately??And it all started with that funny little ankle-twisting(oh,that was me!).

And after all that worry yesterday,I woke up today only to fall on that(DAMN YOU,YouTube!!):A greek singer(is he,really??) is murdering executing singing Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'.
I grew up with that song, you frakkker. Why couldn't you just leave it alone??
Couldn't you execute,I don't know,Greenday or something??Or even better,Rihanna or something???

Thoughts on the Olympics

The coverage of the Olympics is starting to annoy me.

In other Olympic news,China has been lately highly criticized about the opening ceremony. It was a beautiful one and I enjoyed it very much...but things have come out which are not so flattering for the organizers:the impressive fireworks at the end of the ceremony turned out to be fake,so did the little girl who supposedly sang with her beautiful voice.

ETA:OMG.I just found out that the flame lighting in Barcelona(in 1992) was also a fake!An amateur video was shown in local news, two minutes ago, that showed the arrow passing over the bowl and going off the stadium while the flame lit.
Frak, this was my favorite Olympic lighting!Kind of dissappointing...but still impressive.

ETA2:Basketball match between U.S.A. dream-team and Greece has just started.Since the chances of our getting trashed are about 65,38%,should I bother watching??

Some random silly stuff.By me.

-Let's start with the serious stuff:Bernie Mac died today, because of complications from pneumonia. He was a gifted comedian figure, and only 50 years-old.I was quite shocked to read about his death.Very, very sad news...
May he rest in peace.

Well, this was my useless contribution for the day!I'm now off to watch La Femme Nikita,my favorite show of old times...Catch you all later!!

Oops!I did it again...

After reading Katee Sackhoff's latest inty(which gave me a pretty bad vibe about the end of the show_although Katee seemed really satisfied with it),and after getting pretty depressed over it,I went and did the only thing that could get me even more depressed:watched "The Red and the Black" french mini-series,which is based on the book by Stendhal. It ends in a rather depressing fashion:the hero(or rather,anti-hero) ends up shooting the woman he loves more than anything, becuase she kind of ruined the neat life he was trying to build away from her.She gets badly wounded,he gets in a trial. They convict him to death and the guy gets his head axed, just when he is more likeable than ever in the whole story. The woman he loved(and who loved him back) dies three days later because of the wound, bearing the sadness that she didn't manage to save his life...And the only reason she didn't kill herself after her lover's death was probably that she had promised him she wouldn't take her own life(because, after the whole shooting her thing, they both still loved each other deeply...it's brilliant, but hard to explain,if you haven't read the book).
Oh,and the guy also leaves behind a rich girl who loved him(but was a bit of  'a lover scorned') and who was pregnant with his child...Of course, the child was born fatherless. And in much sorrow,I'm sure.

Yeah,after some BSG depression,that was exactly what I needed.NOT
Go me!

Anyway,about that Katee inty...

Random quotes

This neighborhood is,for all of us,a cage.
Nobody lives the way he'd want to live...because the DREAM is just one tiny moment.
And all the other moments...DESPAIR.
